plant by Yantai Juli Isocyanate Co. Ltd. The plant, with a production capacity
of 100,000 tpa hydrochloric acid, will be constructed at Laiyang, Shandong
Province, China. Uhde's scope of supplies includes the process licence, major
components of the engineering package, supply of the electrolysers, and
assistance with the construction and commissioning of the plant.
Apr 2010 - Bayer MaterialScience signed a contract with
plant engineering company Uhde to build a new plant for chlorine production
based on common salt. The plant, which will have an annual capacity of 20,000
metric tons and built at Chempark Krefeld-Uerdingen in Germany.
November 2008- At BISS (Bayer Integrated Site Shanghai),
Bayer Material Science has started a new hydrochloric acid electrolysis plant
to supply the 350,000 tonnes/year MDI train with chlorine. It uses the energy
saving Oxygen Depolarized Cathode technology, which has been developed by Bayer
and partners.
